The state Cannabis Control Commission plans to have the first draft of rules for the legal sales of marijuana done by the end of the year.
The panel announced yesterday that the draft rules will be filed by December 29th.
Among the details will be criteria for winning dispensary licenses, rules for bars where marijuana is consumed and plans to ensure diversity in the industry.
Legal marijuana sales are scheduled to begin in Massachusetts in July of next year.
