I Am Not The Grinch

I made a very important social and life decision last night.

No more will I wish anyone a Merry Christmas.

I saw a guy I ran into at lunch yesterday and I rather matter of factly said to him.

“If I don’t see you before, you and your family have a Merry Christmas.

He said, “ you mean Happy Holidays.”:

I said no I meant Merry Christmas.

Now understand, I was not inviting them to Midnight Mass, just being nice.

So when did we change in this world to have every syllable analyzed...that somehow every word could be an assault on a very person’s way of life and social well being.

When did it become the in thing to be difficult...to be negative just because you want the attention?

When did it become popular to when in the cause of goodness people read badness and negativity.

When?

And, when will the craziness end.

That’s all.
