Connecticut Senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy are heading to Puerto Rico today.
The senators will be on the island to gather first-hand evidence of the ongoing crisis following last year's hurricanes.
They plan to spend today and tomorrow touring Puerto Rico, meeting with the governor and touring the island's main hospital.
Blumenthal says the federal response to the crisis has been shamefully inadequate.
