UMass Facing First Amendment Challenge

The University of Massachusetts is  facing a lawsuit from a national conservative group that claims the  school has anti-free speech policies.

The Young Americans for Liberty  and student Nicholas Consolini filed a complaint in U.S. District Court  on Monday.

The suit takes issue with UMass rules about when speeches and  rallies can take place, and what kind of punishment can be issued for  violations.

School officials are not commenting on the suit, citing  pending litigation.
