Boston School Boss To Change Middle Schools

Boston  Superintendent of Schools Tommy Chang is offering a plan to eliminate  middle schools in the city.

The plan calls for the students in the six  remaining middle school grades being absorbed into the elementary and  high schools.

Chang believes students changing schools just one time in  their educational careers will be less disruptive academically and  socially.

The plan was recently presented to the School Committee for  its consideration.
