State Senate President Stan Rosenberg is separated from his husband Bryon Hefner.
Rosenberg confirmed the split at the State House yesterday, saying Hefner is currently receiving treatment for alcohol addiction.
Rosenberg took leave from his leadership position in the Senate last year after reports that Hefner sexually harassed or assaulted at least four men with ties to state politics.
Rosenberg is not saying whether he plans to resume the presidency if he's cleared by an ethics investigation.
