Icy conditions in part of the area this morning making it for a careful drive. Officials are advising the use of caution particularly in the higher elevations. And that isn't the only problem this morning.
With the recent warm-up in weather, motorists in Western Massachusetts should probably be on the lookout for potholes right now.
At least 15 cars were damaged by some big ones on U.S. Route 5 near the Agawam-West Springfield border on Tuesday night.
Only one car had to be towed, but multiple others reportedly took on flat tires.
Public works crews worked to fill in the craters last night, temporarily closing the road.
