Officer Cleared By DA In Domestic Case

A Pittsfield police officer is cleared  in connection with the shooting death of a man during a domestic  disturbance last September 1st.  

Daniel Gillis was shot and killed when  he charged at officers with a knife despite repeated commands for him to  drop the weapon. 

 Berkshire District Attorney David Capeless says that  following an investigation, there was no basis for criminal charges  against Officer Christopher Colello.
