MGM Resorts spent big money on lobbying in Connecticut last year.
MGM spent almost four-million-dollars on lobbying in the state as it fought a possible Hartford-area tribal-run casino and pushed to open one of its own in Bridgeport.
However, it appears that MGM's lobbying efforts in Washington have had the most impact in Connecticut so far.
MGM apparently has succeeded in delaying a Department of Interior ruling on a tribal casino near Hartford that has stalled the process.
