A woman from Warren is dead after a crash on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Palmer.
State police say the 52-year-old crashed into a guardrail and then careened into a tractor-trailer truck in the eastbound lane.
The identity of the victim has not been released, pending notification of family members.
The accident caused extensive backups on the Mass Pike into the evening hours on Thursday while authorities investigated.
