Red Sox Get Big Bat For Big Money

The Boston Red Sox have added a big bat to the middle of their lineup.

Boston  yesterday signed free agent JD Martinez to a five year,  110-million-dollar contract.

Martinez hit 45 home runs last year with  Detroit and Arizona, and will likely be the full time designated hitter  for Boston.

He's expected to add some punch to Boston's lineup, as the team was at the bottom of the American League in home runs last year.
