Colleges are reassuring prospective students that their participation in school shooting protests won't hurt their chances of getting accepted.
The admissions departments at the University of Massachusetts, Mount Holyoke College, Amherst College. Hampshire College and Springfield College have all tweeted out statements supporting the right to protest.
The messages come after a Texas school district threatened to suspend any student participating in a walkout or other demonstration.
