Bishops Seek Justice And Mercy From Lawmakers

Springfield  Bishop Mitchell Rozanski and the three other Catholic bishops in  Massachusetts are voicing support for criminal justice reform in the  Commonwealth.

In a letter to the Legislature's Joint Conference  Committee, they say reform can potentially benefit society as a whole,  and be life changing for individuals and families.

The bishops would  like to see legislation to eliminate certain mandatory minimum  sentences, creation of rehabilitation and re-entry programs and services  for those suffering from mental health issues.
