Springfield Public Schools Superintendent Daniel Warwick is reacting to the district's 2017 graduation rates.
Numbers released by the state indicate the rate has increased to nearly 77 percent, up from about 69 percent in 2016.
Warwick says the gains made by the district have been astonishing and credits the work of students and staff.
The dropout rate for Springfield schools remains at around five percent.
