Springfield Mayor Dom Sarno is less than thrilled that the city council has rejected a plan for a tax break for a developer who wants to create market rate housing.
SilverBrick Group bought the building at 122 Chestnut Street for almost 5 million dollars and was going to make more than 6 million dollars in renovations.
The developers would have saved just over a quarter of a million dollars over a ten year period.
The mayor says he hopes they reconsider.
No word on whether councilors will do that or not.
