A third winter storm in as many weeks is set to strike the state, ready to blast central and eastern parts of the state with between a foot and a foot and a half of snow.
It is likely only to get western Mass for between 3 and six inches, although there could be more in the higher elevations.
Already schools are cancelling classes for Tuesday with Springfield and Chicopee the first schools in not going to school Tuesday.

Springfield City Hall has announced it will be closed for Tuesday as well.
The storm is expected to intensify through the very late evening, beginning for real in the wee small hours of Tuesday and extending probably for most of the day.
