High Court To Deal With More Tampered Drug Cases

The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial  Court is set to hear arguments later this year on whether thousands of  drug convictions in the state should be vacated.

A brief was filed last  week to have the court toss eleven-thousand cases potentially tainted by  Sonja Farak, who admitted to getting high on evidence while working as a  chemist at a state drug lab in Amherst.

About eight-thousand cases were  already dismissed in connection to Farak's misconduct and 17-thousand  more cases were dismissed last year in the aftermath of a separate drug  lab scandal.
