A tragic start to the day in Palmer.
One person is dead as fire fighters from nine different communities were called in to assist Palmer.
Officials tell us that they were called to the 15 Springfield Street right after 2 this morning.
When crews arrived they found the building fully engulfed.
In fact crews had to leave the building because of the intensity of the flames.
The Red Cross is helping those who have been left homeless.
There is no report of any additional injuries and there has been no cause.
