Alleged Drug Traffickers Face Charges In Bust

Four Springfield men are being  charged as a result of a federal investigation into a large-scale drug  trafficking ring.

The U.S. Justice Department says Miguel Betancourt,  Isaac and Rafael Cardona, and Carlos Mares are among eight people  charged in three different indictments.

Prosecutors say a 14-month  wiretap investigation was conducted into drugs being trafficked through  Springfield and other locations in four different states, coming from  sources in Mexico.
