A Springfield woman scheduled for deportation today has taken sanctuary inside the South Congrgational Church, while the mayor says the church has code violations and tax issues.
The woman, who is only identified as "Gisella" is married with a family.
Church officials say she will be allowed to stay at the facility as long as she wishes.
The woman is married and has two children.
