Lawmakers Won't Vote On Right To Die Bill

The Public Health Committee is no  longer considering bills that would allow doctor-assisted suicides in  Massachusetts.

Instead, they were sent to study by the Joint Committee  on Public Health.

This follows the Massachusetts Medical Society's vote  in December which adopted a neutral engagement position to medical aid  in dying.

This is the fifth consecutive legislative session that such  bills have been proposed.
