Officers Recovering After Drug Overdose Call

Holyoke Police say two of their officers were injured and one is still in the hospital after going out on a drug case last night.

Police were called to an overdose case at a Sargent Street apartment.

When they arrived they found the victim passed out.  But after a short period of time, the officers and an EMT were overcome with exposure to fentynal.

The three were taken to the hospital where one of the officers was treated and released and the other two public safety officials were still being treated.

Police are still investigating the original incident.
