Clean Up Continues On The Highway

An Interstate 91 ramp will remain  closed today because of a tanker truck crash that dumped eight thousand  gallons of gasoline.

State environmental officials say an extensive  clean up is necessary because of the spill yesterday at exit 49 of the  highway.

Three nearby homes on Kalish Avenue were evacuated because of  the rollover crash.

The driver of the truck has not been identified by  police, but they do say the driver is from West Springfield.

Exit 49 is likely to be closed for the rest of the day.

The highway itself is open.
