Jail Worker Accused In Jail House Case

A corrections officer is facing  federal charges after he allegedly smuggled opioids into a state prison  in Norfolk.

William Holts of Rhode Island allegedly agreed to smuggle  100 strips of suboxone into the prison in exchange for  two-thousand-dollars.

Suboxone is a class three controlled substance  that is used to treat heroin addiction, but some people use it to get  high.

Holts is being held without bail, with a detention hearing set  for tomorrow in Boston Federal Court.
