Counterfeit hundred-dollar bills are circulating around Springfield and police are warning residents to be on the lookout.
Springfield police say they are investigating reports of fake money given to businesses, taxi drivers and in-person Internet exchanges.
Officials are asking anyone who may come in contact with the fraudulent cash to get a detailed description of the person and the license plate number if they leave in a vehicle.
