D-A Says They Will Work Through Weekend

An investigation into the discovery of three bodies in and around a house in Springfield  is continuing and officials said Saturday that the work at the crime scene may take several more days.

Stewart Weldon was arrested Sunday and is being held on  one-million-dollars bail on unrelated charges.

He lives in the house on  Page Boulevard.

A woman who was with Weldon when he was arrested  claims he sexually assaulted her, beat her and held her captive for a  month.

A child who was at the house has reportedly been taken into  emergency custody by the state.

District Attorney Anthony Gulluni says they are making progress but that there is much work that still needs to be done.

Police brought in ground penetrating radar in order to go through the property.

Meantime, the DA continues to emphasize that there is no danger to the public.
