The Massachusetts Gaming Commission is approving a liquor license for MGM Springfield's new casino.
The license will allow "active" gamblers to keep drinking until 4 a.m.
Commission Chairman Steve Crosby says he is not worried about people being drunk in the casino. He says that the building is the most regulated place in the state and doing something wrong at a casino isn't the best place to try it.
MGM Springfield also announced on Thursday that it is partnering with Regal Cinemas to open a movie theater in the casino.
