Pot Ban Vetoed In West Springfield

West Springfield Mayor William  Reichelt is issuing a veto of a town council ban on recreational  marijuana.

The council had gone against Reichelt's proposal to allow a  pair of pot shops last month.

Reichelt on Monday said the town needs to  discuss the issue more, noting it is no longer an issue of legalization  but rather an issue of whether West Springfield will share a percentage  of recreational pot profits.

It is unclear whether the city council will try to override the Mayor's veto.
