Two retired state troopers and one suspended trooper are facing criminal charges related to an overtime fraud investigation.
Recently retired troopers David Wilson of Charlton and Paul Cesan of Southwick are charged with theft from an agency receiving government funds.
Suspended trooper Gary Herman of Chester is facing the same charge.
U.S. Attorney Andrew Lelling says these are the first criminal charges in the case but are not the last, as the federal investigation continues.
Lelling says that the trio did not get any special treatment while being arrested. All three were cuffed and led into the federal courtroom in Boston.
