A new hotel is open just across the street from the MassMutual Center in Springfield.
City officials gathered on Wednesday to celebrate the recent opening of the new Holiday Inn Express on State Street.
The 98-room hotel at the former Epiphany Tower, which was previously called the Civic Tower, after plans for the conversion were originally shared in 2006.
