They Didn't Mean To Ban It--But They Did

State Lawmakers didn't mean to but it appears that lawmakers have inadvertently banned horse racing in the state.

The  state legislature failed to extend laws that allow live horse racing and  simulcasting before the formal session ended this week.

The existing  laws expired on Tuesday, which caused horse racing and simulcasting to  be shut down yesterday.

A bill that would have extended horse racing  and simulcasting for a year was never called for a vote as the session  ended yesterday morning.
