Steve Pearce homered three times and drove in six runs as the RedSox rallied for a 15-7 rout of the Yankees to extend their AL Eastlead.
Pearce hit a solo homer in the third inning, added athree-run shot during Boston's eight-run fourth and connected againfor a two-run blast in the sixth.
Mookie Betts went 4 for 4 withtwo walks for the Red Sox, who trailed 4-0 before scoring the next 10 runs. Boston has its largest division lead of the season at 6 1/2 games.
