Hartford To Springfield Line Now Has Bathrooms

Restrooms are now available on the  Hartford Line commuter rail service.

The bathrooms had been locked on  the trains since the New Haven-to-Springfield line launched in June  because they are not Americans with Disabilities Act compliant.

However, the Federal Railroad Authority has allowed the bathrooms to be  opened after a customer with a medical condition filed a complaint.

The  used trains being leased for the line are being retrofitted with  accessible bathrooms.
