Healey Wants Fed To Use Current Science

Massachusetts Attorney General Maura  Healey is asking Acting EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler to withdraw a  plan to prohibit the use of the latest scientific studies in its  decision-making.

She says only during the Trump administration would a  threatened lawsuit be needed to defend the use of scientific studies.

Healey and a coalition of leaders from 23 states, counties and cities  argue the rule proposed by former EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt is  illegal and a threat to public health.
