A young man is dead after being pulled unresponsive from a swimming hole in Wilmington.
The unidentified 19-year-old man was swimming at Silver Lake yesterday afternoon when he went under and did not surface.
First responders were able to locate the man in the water and began lifesaving efforts, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital a short time later.
The man's body has been taken to the state medical examiner's office for an autopsy.
