The Springfield Mayor Dom Sarno is opening up Cooling Centers throughout the city.
Libraries will serve as Cooling Centers at the Brightwood Branch on Plainfield Street from 1pm to 8pm.
Other sites include:
East Forest Park Library, Island Pond Road.
East Springfield Library, Osborne Terrace
Forest Park Library, Belmont Avenue.
Indian Orchard Library, Oak Street
Mason Square Library, State Street
Sixteen Acres Library, Parker Street
Additional non library sites will be open at the Clodo Conception Center on Parker Street and Riverview Raymond Jordan Senior Center on Roosevelt Avenue, both from 9am to 4pm.
