Former Boston Celtic Ray Allen is among those who will be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame on Friday.
The Class of 2018 includes 13 total individuals.
Allen, who was an NBA champion with Boston in 2008 and a ten-time all-star, will visit the Springfield High School of Commerce today along with fellow inductee Katie Smith to engage with students, according to the Hall of Fame.
Security is expected to be tight throughout the entire day at Symphony Hall where the ceremonies will take place and at the Hall of Fame itself.
Officials have barred parking in Court Square through the duration of all of the events.
