Criminal charges are formally being filed against a student who allegedly reported a suspicious person inside Chicopee Comprehensive High School last week, which turned out to be a hoax.
The Chicopee Police Department says the 16-year-old will be summonsed in juvenile court in Springfield for the following charges: threats concerning the location of dangerous items, misleading-obstructing police, disturbance in a school and disturbing the peace.
The police department says the charges are serious as the incident created total chaos throughout the city.
