Former mafia boss Francis "Cadillac Frank" Salemme and his associate are being sentenced to life in prison for the 1993 murder of Boston night club owner Steven DiSarro.
Salemme and Paul Weadick, who was accused of strangling DiSarro, were sentenced in federal court yesterday, according to the U.S. Justice Department.
Prosecutors said Salemme ordered the killing after it was discovered that DiSarro had been approached by federal investigators to cooperate on a mob investigation.
DiSarro's body was found in Providence in 2016.
