Council Is Ready For Tuesday Pot Vote

The Springfield City Council is set  to vote on recreational marijuana business regulations next week after  the city's planning board recommended additional rules on Wednesday.

They include more protections for residential areas and a buffer of at  least five-hundred feet from day care sites and community centers.

City  Council members gave its first approval by a 7-to-3 vote last month for  an ordinance that will allow up to 15 marijuana retail stores in  Springfield.
