MCAS Results Better But More Should Be Done

Springfield  Schools Superintendent Daniel Warwick is praising the results of the  latest MCAS scores for city students.

Warwick says the  results show slight increases, but also said there is still work to be  done as the local scores are below state averages.

Three Springfield  schools were listed as exceeding expectations, 25 met them, 48 schools  partially met them and 22 were listed as not meeting expectations.

Two  schools were lifted from Level 4 warning status: Chestnut Talented and  Gifted School and Milton Bradley Elementary School.
