The convicted sex offender accused of killing Mass Mutual executive Melissa Millan in Simsbury has a public defender handling his case.
William Leverett appeared briefly in Hartford Superior Court yesterday and had an attorney assigned to his case. He is due back in court October 24th.
Leverett was charged after confessing to the 2014 killing last month, a crime which police had no suspects until he came forward.
