Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno says he was directing city officials to revoke the housing tax incentives for the downtown Silverbrick redevelopment project.
Sarno said it was due to continued and multiple missteps on not following proper and standard building codes.
The Silverbrick Group has paid nearly 17-thousand dollars in fines and will be able to resume work on the former YMCA building on Monday.
City Councilors had called for hearings to determine the next steps.
