The Springfield City Council is apparently ready to take another look at a potential ban on single use plastic bags.
Councilors had heard presentations back in 2016 but never took a final vote and the issue died then.
Now, councilors will hear a proposal which would require a retailer, if they have a checkout line that offers bags, to offer bags that can be composted or recycled.
A meeting at Springfield City Hall is expected tomorrow night.
No votes will be taken.
