A doctor from Dracut is facing an involuntary manslaughter charge after a woman died from an overdose of opioids he prescribed.
Dr. Richard Miron allegedly continued to provide the woman with opioids even though she had overdosed in the past.
An investigation was launched when Miron was found to be the largest provider of high dose oxycodone prescriptions in the state.
Miron also allegedly and illegally prescribed opioids to other at-risk patients with no legitimate medical purpose.
