It will be a tragic holiday for some in Easthampton after the loss of a child on Friday.
The Easthampton Police Department says officers arrived at a home in the city for a report of an unresponsive child, a five-year-old girl, who was later pronounced dead at The Cooley Dickinson Hospital.
The police department said prolonged, lengthy life-saving efforts were made.
The case reportedly is under investigation by Easthampton detectives and the Massachusetts State Police.
