A judge in Nantucket is rejecting actor Kevin Spacey's request to not be present at his arraignment next week.
Spacey's attorneys asked that he not be on hand for the hearing on January seventh.
The Nantucket District Court judge denied the request, but approved the motion to let his out of state lawyer handle the case.
Spacey is charged with indecent assault and battery on an 18-year-old man at a bar on the island in 2016.
He has denied all charges against him.
