The Northampton Police Department is putting out a warning about several scam calls that are pervading the city.
One such case involved an elderly woman who was apparently convinced to send ten-thousand dollars in a FedEx package after the scammer talked to her about computer repairs.
The department says it was able to stop the delivery from happening at the last second.
Another scam case involved a woman who said she was told she needed to send two-thousand dollars to help out her grandson, who had been involved in an accident.
Police say that although the scams are pretty old---there is still a need to get the story out because some people fall for them.
