State Representative Paul McMurtry of Dedham is accused of grabbing the backside of an incoming female state lawmaker.
McMurtry reportedly grabbed the female state representative at a cocktail reception for newly elected members of the legislature.
The Boston Globe reports that one lawmaker witnessed the act directly, and two others were told by the alleged victim after the fact.
McMurtry is a member of House Speaker Robert DeLeo's leadership team, and strongly denies the allegations.
