All Stars Conclude Amazing Weekend In Springfield

The American Hockey League's North Division beat the Atlantic Division in a shootout on Monday to win the All-Star Game in Springfield.

The Atlantic, with Thunderbirds forward Anthony Greco and goalie Samuel  Montembeault on the team, won two of the three round-robin  three-on-three mini-games to advance to the championship at the sold-out  MassMutual Center.

Greco had two assists and Montembeault saw action  in all three games leading up to the championship, but surrendered the  game-winning shootout goal to Trevor Moore, who plays for the Toronto  Marlies.

Springfield officials say both events, the game and the skills competition were sellout.

The weekend meant more than 3 million dollars to the local economy.
